DESCRIPTION:Weather update\, Friday\, September 18: the city canceled the Friday evening session because of the weather. Saturday is on as scheduled. Check the city’s weather updates page Saturday morning before heading downtown. \nDay two of Chalk Fest runs Saturday\, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Avenue in downtown Prior Lake\, between County Road 21 and Dakota Street SE. \nProfessional chalk artists fill the street with large-format pieces\, alongside an amateur chalk art contest\, interactive art displays\, live music\, and food trucks. Chula’s Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits and Lightbridge Academy sponsor the Saturday events\, and a KaiBi Mobile Family Care unit is on site both days. \nThe amateur contest is open to young artists in two age groups\, 12 and under and 13 to 18\, each working a 4 by 4 foot square of pavement with prizes on the line. Online registration is $20 per person through noon on September 17\, and day-of registration is $30 if space allows. Register for the contest through Prior Lake Parks and Recreation. \nAll vendor spots are full for 2026.
