Check the city’s weather updates page Saturday morning before heading downtown. \nDay two of Chalk Fest runs Saturday\, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Avenue in downtown Prior Lake\, between County Road 21 and Dakota Street SE. \nProfessional chalk artists fill the street with large-format pieces\, alongside an amateur chalk art contest\, interactive art displays\, live music\, and food trucks. Chula’s Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits and Lightbridge Academy sponsor the Saturday events\, and a KaiBi Mobile Family Care unit is on site both days. \nThe amateur contest is open to young artists in two age groups\, 12 and under and 13 to 18\, each working a 4 by 4 foot square of pavement with prizes on the line. Online registration is $20 per person through noon on September 17\, and day-of registration is $30 if space allows. Register for the contest through Prior Lake Parks and Recreation. \nAll vendor spots are full for 2026. Sponsorship details are at priorlakemn.gov/sponsorship. \nBoathouse Brothers Brewing\, at 16211 Main Avenue\, holds a temporary city liquor license for an art appreciation street party on Saturday and Sunday afternoons\, September 19 and 20\, with beer served in a fenced area\, so there is extra time to take in the chalk after the festival wraps.

DESCRIPTION:See Me Neurodiverse hosts its Community Fest at Lakefront Park on Sunday\, September 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome\, neurodivergent or not. \nActivities include a ninja rig with a warped wall and hamster wheel\, a balance and agility course\, a giant inflatable slide and obstacle course\, a bubble play area\, lawn games and bingo\, face painting\, and balloon animals. Craft stations cover coloring\, chalk drawing\, rock painting\, and sensory balloon making. \nA sensory pavilion offers weighted blankets\, fidget toys\, and noise canceling headphones\, and the Joy Mobile sensory bus will be on site. Community vendors share resources and services for neurodivergent individuals and families. \nFood trucks and snacks are available for purchase\, there is a 50/50 raffle\, and the first 100 arrivals get a giveaway bag.
