SUMMARY:Prior Lake Dental Dash
DESCRIPTION:The Prior Lake Dental Dash returns Saturday\, August 15. The 5K run/walk starts at 9 a.m. and the Tooth Trot\, a quarter mile kids fun run for ages 2 to 12\, follows at 10:30 a.m. Both start and finish near Prior Lake Dental on Commerce Avenue NE. \nThe 5K course is new for 2026\, routed through Prior Lake neighborhoods and the city’s newer trails\, with marked mile markers\, a halfway hydration station\, and volunteers along the way. Registered 5K participants get a race shirt\, a custom finisher medal\, and a timed bib. Tooth Trot runners get their own shirt and medal. \nAfter the finish there are food trucks\, music\, sponsor booths\, family activities\, raffle prizes\, and awards. \nThe race benefits Spot’s Last Stop Canine Rescue\, which pulls dogs out of high risk situations and works to place them in foster and adoptive homes. Advance registration is $35 for the 5K and $20 for the Tooth Trot\, rising to $40 and $25 on race day. Sign up at Race Roster. Same day registration and packet pickup open at 7:30 a.m.\, but shirts and medals are not guaranteed for same day entries.

SUMMARY:Goat Yoga at Gray Hobby Farm
DESCRIPTION:Gray Hobby Farm hosts an hour of goat yoga on Saturday\, August 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the farm on Creekwood Road. Renee\, one of the farm’s certified yoga instructors\, leads a real all-levels class on the lawn while the herd wanders between mats\, grazes\, flops down next to you\, and occasionally hops on someone’s back. The class is $38 per person\, same price for kids and adults (ages 6 and up\, with anyone under 18 joining alongside a paid adult). Register at grayhobbyfarm.com. \n \nNo mat and no experience needed. The farm provides the mats and sanitizes them after every class\, and the goats provide the entertainment: expect some nibbling\, a photobomb or two\, and maybe a goat stretched out on the corner of your mat. Come 15 minutes early to get acquainted with the herd and stay 15 minutes after for pictures with your favorites. Cameras stay put away during class so the goats keep calm. Dress for the outdoors\, skip the jewelry and strong perfume\, and know that hoodie drawstrings read as a snack. \nThe Gray family runs the farm at 16375 Creekwood Rd with a herd that ranges from 11 to 20 goats depending on how many kids arrive each spring\, plus 50 or so chickens\, a pet duck named Motorcycle\, and two barn cats. \nCan’t make Saturday morning? The farm also holds goat yoga on Wednesday\, August 19 at 6 p.m. with Jes\, and another 10 a.m. Saturday session on August 29.
