DESCRIPTION:The 8th annual Prior Lake Paddle Dash launches from Charlie’s On Prior on Saturday\, September 12. Check-in is 8:45 a.m.\, the 10K advanced paddle starts at 9\, and the 5K loop and the 1-mile kids’ route go off right after. Awards and a raffle for a local cause wrap things up around 10\, with optional drinks and food on the Charlie’s patio afterward. \nMinnesota Mermaid Paddle Board Rental hosts\, and this year it is a more laid-back social paddle: later start\, no swag bags or shirts\, and fewer safety boats on the water\, so paddle at your own risk. Paddle boards\, kayaks and canoes are all welcome. \nRegistration is $25 for ages 15 and up\, or $35 with a rental board\, and $15 or $25 for ages 14 and under. SUMMARY:Equip Studios End of Summer Bash
DESCRIPTION:Prior Lake’s own Equip Studios closes out the summer with a free\, family-friendly bash on Saturday\, September 12 from 2 to 5 PM at Sunshine Linings Studio\, 24230 Logan Ave in Lakeville. Come anytime and stay as long as you’d like. \nAdmission is free\, and there’s plenty to wander: local vendors\, the Milk and Honey coffee cart\, the Lake Stories mobile bookstore\, fresh smoothies from Vital Nutrition\, Trois Pop Co. popsicles\, and farm animals. Yes\, that includes goats. \nWant a workout in the middle of it? A 20-minute full-body class led by Molly of Equip Studios runs 2:30 to 3:15\, followed by a 10-minute goat yoga cooldown from Sunshine Linings. Registration is $30 and the class is for women only. Dads and kids can browse the vendors while class is in session. \nSarah of Equip Studios\, a professional photographer\, is also offering 10-minute family mini sessions for $15\, with five edited digital photos delivered afterward.
