SUMMARY:Back-to-School Celebration & Stuff the Bus
DESCRIPTION:Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools kicks off its 75th school year with the 3rd annual Back-to-School Celebration on the Prior Lake High School grounds. Food trucks\, bouncy houses\, face painting\, games\, prizes\, and music\, and it is free for everyone. \nThe celebration doubles as the Stuff the Bus school supply drive. Supply lists for every PLSAS school are posted at plsas.org/supplies\, and the ask is simple: while you are shopping for your own kids\, grab a few extra items and bring them along to help students who start the year without. \nCan’t make it that evening? New school supplies can also be dropped off through August 28 at the District Services Center\, 4540 Tower Street SE\, Prior Lake\, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. \nOne note for newer families: Prior Lake High School sits just across the border at 7575 150th St. W in Savage. Parking is on site.

DESCRIPTION:The Shakopee Shockwaves put on a free waterski show at Quarry Lake Park\, with skiers showcasing jumps\, tricks\, pyramids\, and barefoot skiing in a family-friendly exhibition on the water. The pre-show starts at 6:20 p.m. and the main show begins at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Admission is free\, and the Shockwaves perform on Thursday evenings through the summer.
