SUMMARY:The World According to Garth — Rhythm on the Rails
DESCRIPTION:The World According to Garth is a full-production tribute to Garth Brooks\, recreating the songs\, the showmanship\, and the country-rock energy that turned Brooks into one of the best-selling artists of all time. Expect “Friends in Low Places\,” “The Dance\,” “The Thunder Rolls\,” and a Lewis Street full of two-stepping fans. \nRhythm on the Rails is a free six-week outdoor concert series held on Wednesday nights through June and July on Lewis Street in downtown Shakopee. Each night runs from 6–9 p.m. with a local opening act warming up the crowd before the headliner. The street closes to traffic and turns into an open-air block party\, with food trucks and vendors on site — Amazing Momo\, The Cave Cafe\, Rollin Nolen’s BBQ\, Game Day Grub\, Westy’s Shako Shack\, O’Brien’s Public House\, and Texas Roadhouse. DESCRIPTION:Try log rolling at Cleary Lake Regional Park on Sunday\, July 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Rooted in the Midwest logging era\, log rolling is a safe and fun sport for all skill levels. Instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School teach the basics\, then you can test your skills against other participants. \nNo experience needed and all equipment is provided. Wear shoes that can get wet and dress for the weather. Offered in partnership with Scott County. Cost is $6 per person. Advance registration through Three Rivers Park District is required.
