Spot’s Last Stop Canine Rescue hosts Brews for Barks, its Backyard Celebration, on Saturday, October 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the rescue center, 6025 170th Street East in Prior Lake. The party itself is free and open to everyone, and no ticket is needed to come hang out.
The afternoon brings adoptable dogs to meet, local breweries, food trucks, vendors, family-friendly activities, raffles and a silent auction. Money raised supports the rescue, which places homeless dogs with families around the Twin Cities.
A few extras are sold ahead of time. The Brews for Barks Sampler Pack ($25) comes with a 4 oz. sampler cup, a punch card good for five brewery samples, and a bag of Spot’s swag and dog goodies. The Barks & Bags Tournament is $80 per team of two, capped at 8 to 12 teams with no day-of signups, and first place takes home $250. The Top Dog Combo bundles a team entry with two sampler packs for $125. Raffle and Zoomie Zone tickets are 5 for $20 in advance or $5 apiece at the event.
Add-ons and registration are on the Brews for Barks Zeffy page, and more about the rescue is at spotslaststop.org.
