The Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District opens its 2026 Watershed Week with an Early Bird Nature Walk at Pike Lake Park on Monday, August 24 from 8 to 9 a.m. SMSC Cultural Interpreter and Naturalist Michael Kurtz leads the guided walk through the park’s woods and shoreline.

Come at 7:45 a.m. for coffee, tea and a quick snack before heading out. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water and binoculars if you have them. The walk is free, open to all ages, and parking at the park is free.

Reserve a spot at Eventbrite. Watershed Week continues with a water quality project tour on Tuesday and a watercolor nature journaling night on Thursday.
