Hope Pantry turns one and marks it with an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the lower level of Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16150 Arcadia Ave. SE in Prior Lake. Stop in for snacks and conversation. If you have never been to the pantry, the volunteers will show you around and explain how it works.
There is a photo booth, kids’ activities and refreshments. The open house is also a food drive, so bring non-perishable food items if you can.
You can order a Thanksgiving Bundt cake while you are there. The pantry’s Bundt cake fundraiser with Nothing Bundt Cakes in Savage takes orders Nov. 1 through 14, with pickup the week of Thanksgiving.
Hope Pantry is a small, volunteer-run food pantry for people in need in the Prior Lake area. It also has a page on GiveMN for Give to the Max Day, Thursday, Nov. 19. The Facebook event has the latest.
