The Savage Fire Department opens Fire Station 1, 14321 O’Connell Road, to the public on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids, families, scout troops and neighborhood groups can meet the firefighters and CIRT K9 Marshall, climb inside a fire truck and try on fire gear.
The open house also has an inflatable bounce house, a fire extinguisher simulator, live demonstrations, smoke alarm safety information, a look at the department’s Community Connect program, and door prizes for all ages.
The event is free and everyone is welcome. Details are on the City of Savage calendar.
