Sourdough

Sourdough became popular over the last year as a healthier alternative to white or whole wheat bread. The lower phytate levels mean it is more digestible and nutritious. The prebiotics also help to keep your gut bacteria happy, and it may be less likely to spike blood sugar levels. In class, you will make a dozen muffins and go home with other recipes and a small amount of starter to continue making sourdough at home. Bring a quart glass jar with a lid to class. — Min age: 15 yr.

Registration required: Register & pay via Prior Lake–Savage Community Education.
