Every Saturday from May through early October, downtown Prior Lake fills up with farmers, bakers, makers, and food trucks for a market that’s been a Saturday morning ritual here for more than 20 years. Whether you’re picking up the week’s produce, grabbing coffee with a neighbor, or just wandering with a tote, the market is the unofficial heart of summer in Prior Lake.

When and where

The market runs Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., in downtown Prior Lake on Main Avenue SE. The 2026 season opened May 2 and typically wraps in early October — check the upcoming dates below for the next Saturday market.

What you’ll find

The vendor mix changes through the season as different produce comes in, but the regular lineup includes:

  • Fresh produce from local growers (strawberries early, sweet corn in August, squash and pumpkins in fall)
  • Baked goods — bread, pastries, pies
  • Locally tapped maple syrup
  • Handmade soaps and bath products
  • Hand-crafted candies and confections
  • Coffee baristas and breakfast food trucks
  • Live music most weeks

Cocktails are available on site (they stay inside the roped seating area, per market rules).

More than shopping

The market doubles as a community hangout. Throughout the season the organizers pair with local groups for yoga at the market, kids’ events, and a community blessing. It’s a low-key way to run into half the town on a Saturday morning.

  • Parking: Free, in the downtown lots and on-street nearby.
  • Smoking: Not allowed at the market.
  • Payment: Some vendors take cards or Venmo; many prefer cash. Bring some bills.
  • Bring a tote. The market does not provide bags.
  • Come hungry. Breakfast food trucks and coffee are part of the experience.

A short history

The Prior Lake Farmers Market has been running on Saturday mornings for more than 20 years. It started as a small grower-and-baker setup and has grown into one of the most consistent weekly draws in downtown — a fixed point in the summer calendar that locals plan their Saturdays around.
