Every trunk or treat, Halloween party and spooky night I know about in Prior Lake, Savage and Shakopee, in date order. Churches, schools and businesses keep announcing them all through October, so new ones show up here every few days.

What Halloween here usually looks like

• Trunk or treats at churches, schools and businesses, mostly the last two weekends of October. They are usually free, and many get announced on Facebook only a week or two ahead, so check back.
• Daytime trick-or-treating for little kids, like the Candy Crawl through downtown Prior Lake businesses.
• Community parties with games, costume contests and candy in all three towns.
• Bigger nights out in Shakopee, like ValleyScare at Valleyfair and Phantom’s Feast at the Renaissance Festival grounds, plus costume parties at local bars and restaurants for the grown-ups.
