Prior Lake, Aug. 12: A $57,000 joint water study with the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community went to the council on the consent agenda, the cost split $28,500 each. The SMSC supplies Prior Lake’s treated water, and the study plans for continued service. Record
Prior Lake, Aug. 25: The council ordered a 2026-model plow truck two years early, 5-0, to beat 2027 emissions rules that add up to $15,000 to the price. It goes into service in late 2028, replacing a 12-year-old truck. Record
Prior Lake, Sept. 8: The council set an Oct. 13 assessment hearing for $192,826.80 in unpaid 2026 utility bills and false-alarm fees. Owners can pay first, or the charge goes on their property taxes. Record
Prior Lake, Aug. 18: Alum for the Upper Prior Lake treatment cost more than bid, so the watershed district board was asked to lift the phase-two budget from $930,000 to $1,018,622 by drawing on its alum reserve. Record

Scott County, Aug. 4: The board approved right-of-way compensation estimates for the County Highway 17 reconstruction and the CH 12 roundabout at CH 17, with $3,550,000 programmed for 2026 and 2027. Construction is set for 2027. Record
