I’ll draw one winner at random from every entry and email or message them that morning. The winner gets all four tickets by email, with three weekends left to use them.

What the tickets get you

Each ticket gets one person into either of Valleyfair’s Halloween events, your choice: Tricks and Treats on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, or ValleyScare on Friday and Saturday nights. A ticket covers one or the other, not both, and it’s good through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Good to know. Parking isn’t included. ValleyScare is intense and not meant for young kids, and a chaperone policy applies. The park calendar has each day’s hours, and the Valleyfair guide covers what to bring, where to eat and what else is ten minutes away.

Read the official rules
  1. No purchase necessary. Buying anything won’t improve your chances of winning.
  2. Who can enter: Minnesota residents 18 or older. Mark Gores and his household, and employees of Valleyfair and Enchanted Parks, can’t enter.
  3. How to enter: from Oct. 4, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, either (a) enter your email in the form on this page (if you’re new to the Prior Lake Events newsletter, you also have to confirm your email by the deadline); (b) if you already get the newsletter, tap “Count me in” in the Friday, Oct. 9 issue or reply to that email with “Count me in”; or (c) comment on a giveaway post on the Prior Lake Events Facebook page. The form, the tap and the reply all count as the same email entry, so each person can enter once by email and once on Facebook, two entries at most. Extra email addresses or accounts don’t add entries and can get you disqualified.
  4. The prize: four Valleyfair tickets, each good for one guest at either ValleyScare or Tricks and Treats (one or the other, not both) on a day the park is open to the public through Nov. 1, 2026, delivered by email. Approximate retail value: $200 (four tickets at Valleyfair’s $49.99 online ValleyScare price). Parking, food and anything not listed aren’t included. No cash value, no substitutions, and the tickets can’t be resold. Valleyfair’s ticket terms and park rules apply. Valleyfair provided the tickets.
  5. The drawing: one winner, drawn at random from all eligible entries on or about Monday, Oct. 12, 2026. Odds depend on how many entries come in. I’ll contact the winner by email or Facebook message. If they don’t reply within 48 hours, or turn out not to be eligible, I’ll draw another winner.
  6. Winner’s name: with the winner’s okay, I’ll share their first name and town in the newsletter and on Facebook.
  7. Who runs it: Prior Lake Events (Mark Gores), PO Box 171, Prior Lake, MN 55372, mark@priorlakeevents.com. Valleyfair provided the prize but doesn’t run the drawing. This giveaway isn’t sponsored, endorsed or run by Facebook or Meta, and by entering you release them from any responsibility for it.
