Feeding Bodies & Minds: Hope Pantry Food Drive

Donate to Hope Pantry, then make a day of it downtown. On Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hope Pantry Prior Lake teams up with the Pleasant Street Art Walk and the Friends of the Prior Lake Library fall book sale for Feeding Bodies & Minds, a one-day food drive that helps Hope Pantry provide healthy food to people in need in our community.

Here is the deal: donate 10 food items or $20 to Hope Pantry on the day of the event and you get a coupon folder filled with discounts to area businesses, while supplies last. The first 50 qualifying donations get some extra treats too. Folders are handed out at two spots: the Prior Lake Library, 16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Hope Pantry tent at the Pleasant Street Art Walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In between, visit with area artists along Pleasant Street and stop by the Hope Pantry tent to color a free bookmark. Show that bookmark at the library the same day and kids get a free, gently used children’s book. The Friends of the Library book sale runs at the library too, with hundreds of titles to stock a fall reading list.
