The Prior Lake Library is the Scott County Library branch on Eagle Creek Avenue SE, in the same building as Club Prior, the city's 55-plus center. It is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, Wednesday noon to 7, Friday 10 to 4 and Saturday 9 to 2, closed Sunday, and cardholders can sign up for Extended Access to get in outside staffed hours. There are two meeting rooms you can book.

Beyond books, media and study space it is one of the busiest free program venues in town: baby lap sit and toddler story times most weeks, Waggin' Tales reading time with therapy dogs, TeenTober crafts every Tuesday in October, Crafternoons, the Pagers book club, Climb Theatre shows for little kids, Club Book author visits and the Friends of the Library book sale. Nearly all of it is free; where registration is needed it opens on the library's event calendar at scottlib.libcal.com. Prior Lake Events lists the one-off programs here, so the calendar below is a quick way to see what is coming without digging through the county site.

Phone: 952-447-3375. Email: pllibrary@scottlib.org.
