The 20th annual Minnesota Walk n’ Roll Strollathon is Sunday, October 11 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Savage Environmental Learning Center, 13550 Dakota Ave S. It is a family-friendly afternoon walk that brings together families, friends and supporters of people living with Rett syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that mostly affects girls.
The International Rett Syndrome Foundation and its Minnesota volunteers put on the walk to raise money toward treatments and a cure. Minnesota Strollathons have raised more than $816,000 over the past 20 years.
Registration is $15 for adults and teens 15 and up and $5 for kids 5 to 14; children 4 and under and individuals with Rett syndrome are free. Families can sign up as a team and fundraise together. Register or donate at give.rettsyndrome.org.
