The McColl Pond Environmental Learning and Event Center is the City of Savage's nature center on Dakota Avenue South, next to the Savage Sports Center in Community Park. The building sits in restored native prairie with rain and butterfly gardens and a pond, and it does two jobs: nature programming, mostly for kids and families, on local wildlife and conservation, and event space that rents for weddings, receptions, showers and meetings, with reservable hours from 7 am to 11 pm and bookings taken up to a year out.

The public events that land it on this site are the winter candlelit snowshoe hikes on the trails, the Savage Rotary's craft beer, wine and spirits tasting fundraiser in June, and seasonal family programs run by Savage Parks and Recreation.
