Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools holds a community information session on its Nov. 3 referendum on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the District Services Center, 4540 Tower St. SE in Prior Lake. Residents can learn more about the two ballot questions, see how the money would be used and ask questions, the district says.
Can’t make it? The district streams the session live on its livestream page. Its fact sheet, presentation, sample ballot and tax calculator are on the district’s referendum page.
The night before, Wednesday, Oct. 7, Superintendent Jim Wagner presents at a town hall at The Savage Tap hosted by Yes for Laker Schools, a volunteer group that supports the referendum.
Two questions are on the Tuesday, Nov. 3, ballot: a new operating levy, and a capital projects levy that applies only if the first one passes. The school referendum page on this site has the ballot wording, the district’s cost estimates and where and when to vote. Early voting is already open.
