Child’s Play Theatre stages The Legend of Katastrophe Kate, a rootin’, tootin’ Tex-Mex tall tale, on Saturday, November 21, with shows at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. at Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake.
Katherine, a mild-mannered Eastern cook trained by the world-famous chef Madame Julia Enfant, heads West and becomes the legendary Katastrophe Kate, out to conquer the frontier with her red-hot chili. At Miss Lillian’s Saloon she faces her rival, Jose Habanero, who claims the hottest chili in the Southwest, with romance on the back burner, a high-kicking Fosse Posse, a few international outlaws and a nosy reporter along the way. Child’s Play Theatre works with local Community Education programs to give students of all ages a chance to perform.
Details are on Child’s Play Theatre’s Facebook event.
