Rhythm on the Rails

Rhythm on the Rails is a free outdoor concert series that takes over Lewis Street in downtown Shakopee on Wednesday nights from June into early August. The street closes to traffic and turns into an open-air block party: a local opening act warms up the crowd, a headliner plays until 9, and food trucks and vendors line the street the whole time.

When and where

• Nights: Wednesdays, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., June into early August
• Where: Lewis Street, downtown Shakopee (near the train depot)
• Cost: Free
• Food: A dozen-plus food trucks and vendors, including Rollin Nolen’s BBQ, Amazing Momo, and The Cave Cafe

• July 15: The World According to Garth — cancelled
• July 22: Parrothead Paradise (Jimmy Buffett tribute)

• August 5: NEIL! Martin Zellar’s tribute to Neil Diamond (rescheduled season finale)
