Sailer's Greenhouse is the family greenhouse on 170th Street East in Shakopee, just over the Prior Lake line and about ten minutes from downtown; a lot of Prior Lake gardeners think of it as their local nursery. Spring is the main event, annuals, hanging baskets, perennials, trees, shrubs and vegetable starts, and the greenhouses stay busy through fall with mums and pumpkins and into winter with houseplants, succulents and holiday decor.

The workshops are why it appears on this site so often: make-and-take spring containers, wreath and holiday centerpiece classes in November and December, and Santa at Sailer's on a December weekend. Registration opens on sailersgreenhouse.com and the popular classes fill.

Hours are Monday through Saturday 9 to 6 and Sunday 9 to 5 in season. Office: (952) 403-0630; greenhouse: (952) 403-9957.
