Prior Lake VFW Post 6208, at 16306 Main Avenue SE in downtown Prior Lake, was founded in 1946 and won the All American Post Award for 2023-2024. Its club is the post's social hub for food and drink, with weekday lunch specials from 11 am to 3 pm.

The weekly lineup on the post's site: burgers on Monday from 5 to 7 pm, bingo on Wednesdays, a steak fry on the second and fourth Saturdays from 5 to 8 pm, and meat raffles on Thursdays and Sundays. The upstairs hall holds 250, with a commercial kitchen, a central bar, a stage for bands or DJs and pull tabs, and it is handicap accessible; the lower level seats 125 but is not.

The hall stays busy with fundraisers, dinners and live bands, from the Hope Pantry Burger Bash to chicken feeds, and I list its public events below. The post also puts on the Hometown Heroes program with the City of Prior Lake. Phone: (952) 226-6208.
