Update (July 5): Saturday night’s storms pushed the show back a night. Per the Prior Lake Association, the fireworks now launch tonight, Sunday, July 5, at 10 PM from Watzl’s Point Beach. Watzl’s Beach is closed until Monday for fireworks setup, and Sandpoint Beach is open as normal.
The Prior Lake Association presents its annual Fourth of July fireworks show, marking 60 years of lighting up the lake with an extra-big display for America’s 250th birthday. The fireworks launch from Watzl’s Point Beach. Prime viewing spots include a boat out on Prior Lake, any shoreline facing the show, the Lakefront Park hill, and the middle school parking lots. The show is funded by tax-deductible community donations, which can be made at priorlakeassociation.org/take-action.
