Halloween in Prior Lake

Halloween around Prior Lake is a two-week stretch of trunk or treats, costume parties, and family events that mostly get announced in late September and October. This page collects all of them in one place as organizers publish dates, so check back as fall gets close.

What Halloween here usually looks like

Based on recent years, expect most of this to come back around:

  • Free community trunk or treats, usually the last two weekends of October at churches and schools around town. Last year had several, including New Creations and Shepherd of the Lake.
  • Community Halloween parties with games and candy for the younger kids.
  • Family-friendly evening events like glow parties and not-too-spooky story nights.
  • Costume contests at local restaurants and bars for the grown-ups.

Planning a bigger day out? Our Valleyfair guide covers the park up the road in Shakopee.
