Rhino Wine Bar is the small wine bar on Main Avenue in downtown Prior Lake, a few doors from Perron's Sul Lago and Grace + Gumption, run by Brett and Sara, who live in Savage. The list changes every month and is served by the glass, the bottle or as a build-your-own flight, and tastings are complimentary, so you can try a wine before you commit. A few beers and non-alcoholic options cover the non-wine drinkers, and the food is small plates: cheese, hummus, olive tapenade, skewers and charcuterie cups.

The calendar is steady, and most of it falls on nights the bar is otherwise closed: a $25 wine tasting most months on a Monday at 6 (Wines-giving in October, Fizz Fest in December, a run of themed ones through spring; they sell out), a free Silent Book Club the first Wednesday at 6, mahjong nights, the odd whisky tasting, and downtown-wide days like the Candy Crawl and Small Business Saturday. Group reservations and private parties book through the website. Prior Lake Events lists each event below.

Open Wednesday and Thursday 4 to 9 pm and Friday and Saturday 3 to 10 pm; closed Sunday through Tuesday except for scheduled events. Phone: (952) 447-8466.
