SMSC Wacipi 2026 – Saturday

Saturday is the big day of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s annual Wacipi, one of the Midwest’s largest powwows, with grand entries at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. bringing hundreds of dancers of all ages, representing dozens of tribes from across the United States and Canada, into the arena in full regalia.

Drum groups and singers surround the arena, and Native American artists and crafters display traditional beadwork, jewelry, and handmade goods alongside food vendors serving authentic meals and treats. Admission details and the full schedule are at smscwacipi.org.
