The Shakopee Ice Arena, at 1225 Fuller Street South, is the city-run rink built in 2016 next door to the Shakopee Community Center. It has two sheets of ice, with bleachers for 900 at Rink 1 and 335 at Rink 2, and it is home to the Shakopee High School boys and girls hockey teams and the Shakopee Youth Hockey Association.

Open skating is free with a Community Center membership. Skate rental is $6 for residents and $9 for nonresidents, and open hockey is $11 and $16, with a helmet, stick, gloves and skates required. Ice times change through the year, so check the city's monthly schedule; in October 2026, open skate ran around midday on select weekdays and some Saturdays. Go4Gold teaches the city's skate school here, and the ice rents for team practices and parties.

This fall the arena will add two new family events, Turkey Bowling on Nov. 20 and Skate with the Grinch on Dec. 11, 2026, and I list them below with the arena's other public events. Phone: (952) 233-9531.
