The Wilds Golf Club

The Wilds Golf Club is the public 18-hole course on Wilds Ridge in Prior Lake, laid out by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish through the rolling, wooded terrain of The Wilds neighborhood. From the back tees it plays 7,012 yards, par 72, with a 145 slope and 74.0 rating, and it has landed on Minnesota best-public-course lists for years. Elevation changes of 150 feet or more and water on close to half the holes are the signature; multiple tee sets keep it playable for the rest of us.

You do not need to golf to use the clubhouse. The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired building has a view toward the Minneapolis skyline and houses Slate North, the restaurant, which is open to the public. Banquet rooms handle 10 to 350 guests, which is why so many local fundraisers, boutique sales and the Chamber's annual golf tournament land here. Winter brings simulator leagues in the clubhouse.
