Whiskey Inferno is a locally owned meat house and craft bar at 14425 Highway 13 in Savage, part of the Wondrous Collective group of restaurants. The idea is a Chicago steakhouse crossed with Central Texas barbecue in a casual room, with a floor-to-ceiling wall of whiskey.

The steaks are Braveheart Black Angus, hand-cut daily, and the kitchen smokes its own brisket and St. Louis ribs, with prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays only. Happy hour runs on weekdays, with draft beers buy one, get one. Tables book through OpenTable, and takeout orders go through the website.

Youth sports teams have held banquets and fundraisers here, and the holiday brunches, classes and fundraiser nights it hosts are the events I list below. Checks paid by credit card carry a 3 percent fee, waived for cash or debit. Phone: 952-855-4665.
