Lakefront Park is Prior Lake's main city park, 5000 Kop Parkway SE, sitting on the shore of Prior Lake a couple of blocks from downtown. It is the town's front yard: the outdoor amphitheater where the summer concerts and Lakefront Music Fest happen, Watzl's Beach, a fishing dock, boat slips and canoe and kayak rack rentals, picnic shelters and grills, a big playground, a skate park, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, ball fields, and a network of walking trails through the wooded and prairie parts of the park. In winter the hill becomes the sledding hill and the rinks flood for skating and hockey.

Most of the big community events on this site happen here: the Fourth of July fireworks over the lake off Watzl's Beach, Lakefront Music Fest in July, Music in the Park nights, DecembRRR Dazzle and the tree lighting in December, and the student council's Winter Fest. The Saturday farmers market is a couple of blocks away on Main Avenue downtown. The park is open daily 6 am to 10 pm and shelters can be reserved through Prior Lake Parks and Recreation.
